From Sandals to Nike Shoes
The different types of shoes were soon to be obvious and footwear producers started to make a difference between shoes depending on the environment where the certain people worked or lived or the gender that asked for such luxuries. From man shoes – sandals, as military footwear, to women shoes – that wore sandals as well but with a light quantity of leather and a high accent on style, to kids shoes – as small, light footwear only as leather straps, mankind used to part socially because only the rich and “famous” had access to foot protectors such as those we described above.
Slowly but surely, the civilized society forced the civilized man to adapt new types of footwear to the certain time period from small makers of shoes to shoes stores it was only a footstep. Even poor people wore handmade cheap shoes that had wood outsole and heels and held the foot with rope like strings or canvas.
We began our article with a small history lesson because footwear as well as anything that concerned the human race in its evolution, evolved together to suit the needs of every man, woman or child that walked, ran or simply stood their ground.
And all this because our human history is a blink of an eye compared to earth’s history and it was only a breath of fresh air until the first specialized shoes for athletes appeared. And this thing made the modern times look a lot more colorful but even more comfy.
From running shoes all the way to the golf shoes, the athlete was no longer held back from performance by unfitted or unspecialized footwear. Nike shoes, Adidas shoes, New Balance shoes or Clarks shoes are only some of the many sports shoes firms than take care of the athletes’ feet.
But still, other activities from the social life ask for other kind of shoes than the sports ones. A simple and clear example is the platform shoes that were in fashion in the 1970, but also back in the seventeen and the eighteen century.
